I've always been a fan of words: writing them, reading them, and correcting them when needed. I've also been an admirer of the many fascinating destinations this planet has to offer. And, I've been fortune enough to turn both interests into a successful career, combining numerous bylines with many experiences.
What do I write about, you might ask. My beats are diverse. Presently, travel and hospitality sectors are my main concentrations. In these forums, I provide advice-based pieces on how to trip planning, on everything from what NOT to pack in a suitcase to how to maintain healthy eating habits while traveling.
However, my work goes beyond researching and reporting on where to visit. I have also covered the U.S. higher education sector, community news, and general business. For almost a decade, I acted as a "culture vulture" in promoting social and artistic happenings in Connecticut's Fairfield County region.
Since 1997, I have been a seasoned writer and editor in online and print publishing and have extended my career focus to communications in aiding firms and departments in drafting pitches, blog postings and press releases. For one firm representing luxury hotel properties worldwide, I have been successful in landing placements relating to their clients' packages and promotions. I also am pursuing a master's degree in communications at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, to further my career goals.
